Welcome to your orientation at Handshake University. Every Handshake University graduate receives a certificate of recognition and your course of study only takes a few minutes. In addition, all Handshake University graduates are eligible to apply for a $200.00 wrestling camp scholarship.

Handshake University teaches kids how to make a great first impression with a good solid handshake. A handshake is one life skill that helps build confidence and a positive outlook. In addition, Handshake University touches base on several other life skills to help you to be successful in school, work and life.

Who founded it?

Handshake University was founded by Jeffrey Levitetz. Jeff was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as an Outstanding American in 2002. He has also served as team leader for the 2004 Olympic wrestling team.  Jeff is also a very successful business person. He founded Purity Wholesale Grocers, Inc. twenty-five years ago and built it from a one-person operation into a successful billion-dollar corporation. It is one of the largest privately held companies in the United States with divisions and employees nationwide.

Jeff founded HU in 1999 because he sincerely cares about today’s youth. He wants to help you to believe in yourself, build confidence and help you develop fundamental social and leadership skills, such as integrity and a positive outlook. In addition to Handshake University, Jeff founded the Levitetz Family Scholarship fund to help kids get “on track” early in life by helping to support deserving kids get “from camp to college”.
